PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low NOx burner which reduces NOx more than a conventional one only with the structure of the burner. SOLUTION: The burner comprises a main nozzle 13 for spraying a premixed gas of a mixture of a fuel and an oxidizing agent, and a flame holding secondary nozzle 12A for spraying the premixed gas or the oxidizing agent at substantially right angle to the spraying direction of the premixed gas which is sprayed from the main nozzle 13.
