PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording control method, with which recording data outputted from host equipment are recorded on a recording medium by a recording equipment. SOLUTION: It is detected whether the recording equipment has a buffer under-run preventing function or not and when it is judged the equipment has the buffer under-run preventing function, the recording data are transmitted to the recording equipment without storing the recording data on a host buffer memory provided in the host equipment.
