PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of a conventional ultrasonic probe that has been not in operation as specified, because an adhesive layer 50 between a vibrator 10 and a damper 20 and an electrode 30 are exfoliated through the application of heat to the ultrasonic probe, when the volume difference between the vibrator 10 and the damper 20 is large. SOLUTION: In the ultrasonic probe provided with a vibrator, that alternately converts an electrical signal and an acoustic signal and with an absorbing member connected to the vibrator, so as to propagate the acoustic signal, and the absorbing member is divided into a plurality of parts so that the area of the counterposing faces to the vibrator becomes small.
