PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct dispersion in a luminescent luminance distribution due to a landing offset of an electron beam, using a simple configuration. SOLUTION: The color cathode-ray tube system is provided with a color cathode-ray tube 1, that uses an electron beam emitted from an electron gun 31 in response to an applied video signal to scan a panel 35 via a color selection electrode, luminance sensors 6a, 6b, 6c and 6d that sense the emission luminance at the corner of the panel 35, a luminance correction circuit 4 that corrects the luminance component of an input video signal 21 on the basis of the sensed luminescent luminance, and a video output circuit 5 that applies a corrected video signal 22 to the electron gun 31, and corrects the quantity of the electron beam on the basis of the sensed emission luminance.
