PURPOSE: A loose tube optical cable is provided to easily exuviate, when the cable is branched, by including a tension of the optical cable and ripcord functions into the inner space of the loose tube which protects an optical fiber ribbon and the optical fiber wick wire in their outside. CONSTITUTION: An optical fiber ribbon(4) is formed as a ribbon by laminating a plurality of optical fiber strand(2) having a core and clad layer. A loose tube includes the optical fiber ribbon(4) is inserted to the inner side of the loose tube, and an assistant tension wire(10) is inserted to exuviate the optical cable and allow a tension in a sectional inner space. A cable layer is formed the outer surface of the loose tube to protect the optical fiber and the water. The assistant tension wire(10) is used such as a fiber yarn or a fiber rods.
