PURPOSE: A parking brake operating device makes the operation of a parking lever transmitted to a parking brake by an operating rod to improve responsiveness and the release of the parking brake secure. CONSTITUTION: An operating device includes a brake chamber(2), an operating rod(4), a push rod(10) and a converting device(12). The brake chamber(2) is installed in a car room for compressed air to flow in by the operation of a parking lever a driver directly operates. The operating rod(4) is connected with one side of the brake chamber(2) and installed to the longitudinal direction of a car body to move linearly. The push rod(10) is connected with the end of the operating rod(4) perpendicularly to be installed to the latitudinal direction to the car body and connected with an adjustment lever(8) of a parking brake to operate the adjustment lever(8). The converting device(12) is installed between the operating rod(4) and the push rod(10) to convert the linear movement of the operating ord(4) to the linear movement of the push rod(10).
