FLUORESCENT LAMP, BACK LIGHT AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which can satisfy color specifications of European Broadcasting Union. SOLUTION: A back light device 14 is assembled to a liquid crystal panel 12 to constitute a liquid crystal display device 11. The liquid crystal panel 12 provides red, green, and blue color filters at every pixels of liquid crystal. A fluorescent lamp FL of the back light device 14 is three wavelength type having a red phosphor, a green phosphor and a blue phosphor, and a half width value of the blue phosphor is not more than 40 nm. Also, light L1 emitted from the fluorescent lamp FL has a color temperature of not less than 8,500 K and deviation of not more than 0.015. Light L2 emitted from the back light device 14 has color temperature of not less than 7000 K and deviation of not more than 0.01.
