DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rightly perform iris photographing even to the person of any height in a natural posture without forcing an unnatural posture to a person to be identified. SOLUTION: A person 14 to be identified is photographed by plural ophthalmic image cameras 16-1 to 16-n located in the longitudinal direction. Concerning the images of the person to be identified for plural frames photographed by the cameras 16-1 to 16-n, plural divided images for one frame are generated by a frame switcher 20. The generated plural divided images are converted to digital signals by an image capture part 31 inside a host computer 30, and afterwards personal identification is performed.
