PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economical and highly efficient method of manufacturing a rotor for pancake type slip ring which assures reliable operations. SOLUTION: There is provided a flat rotor for pancake type slip ring which assures higher cost performance. A flat copper foil sheet is pressed in the shape of wave having the concentric V-shape grooves. The copper foil sheet which is pressed in the shape of wave is adhered to a dielectric material layer with a bonding agent. For instance a plurality of concentric V-shape grooves are formed by processing the grooves at the top portion and then separating these grooves and thereby individual electric circuits may be formed. A plurality of corresponding holes are provided extendingly to the second side from the first side of the dielectric material layer via the concentric grooves. The conductive material is applied to these holes to electrically connect the concentric rings in the second side.
