PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion device which ensures safety and accelerates lowering of NOx without rendering the device large or changing the structure. SOLUTION: The combustion device comprises a burner case 4, an evaporation cylinder 10 which is incorporated into a cylindrical portion 8 of the burner case 4 and which allows a throat 18 provided at the surrounding wall to open inside the cylindrical portion 8, a burner head 12 to which a mixed gas of a gas evaporated in the cylinder 10 and primary air is supplied, a disc head 15 provided inside the burner head 12 and a throttle plate 14 which is disposed between the disc head 15 and the cylinder 10. Oxidized catalyst is applied to the inner surface of the disc head 15 and/or the throttle plate 14.
