PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of learning the taste of a user on the basis of the retrieval history of the user and retrieving a data base while exactly reflecting it with the taste of each of users even in the case of retrieval based on the retrieval condition of an objective expression or sensitivity expression. SOLUTION: A user taste learning means 3 learns the taste of a user by using the retrieval condition of the objective expression or sensitivity expression inputted from a retrieval condition input means 1, the retrieved result inputted from a feature description retrieving means 5 and the correctness/incorrectness of a retrieved solution inputted from a retrieved solution correctness/ incorrectness input means 8. On the basis of the learnt result, the data in a user taste data base 4 are updated.
