PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for coding decoding image data that codes multi-viewpoint image data resulting from photographing one object from a multi-viewpoint with a high efficiency, and can obtain decoded data in the unit of pixels at a high speed. SOLUTION: A reference image not coded by each prescribed number is set (S701), and data are coded by using only a relation to this reference image. Furthermore, orthogonal transform is applied to the coding and an inverse transform arithmetic equation with respect to each pixel in a block is expanded and stored in the case of orthogonal transform (S704). Furthermore, coefficients after the orthogonal transform are coded with fixed length by each pixel (S705). In the case of decoding, fixed length coded data corresponding to a desired pixel are decoded, and the coefficient obtained at decoding is substituted to the expansion expression having been generated at coding to decode pixel data. |
