PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the break of an outer tube by reducing thermal stress caused by thermal gradient between the lower part of a radiant tube contacting liquid to be heated and the upper part of an outer tube in a single ended radiant tube. SOLUTION: The thermal gradient generated to the outer tube can be reduced by forming a tripe layered single ended radiant tube which is provided with the bottomed cylindrical outer tube and one closed and made of ceramic and a ceramic inner tube extending from a main body part into the outer tube and arranged with a ceramic short tube shorter than those of the outer tube and the inner tube between the outer tube and the inner tube.
