PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To deal with daily variation especially without interrupting processing of normal printing by correcting the geometric distortion of a recorded picture. SOLUTION: In this picture distortion correcting method, picture processing is performed to inputted digital picture data to correct the picture distortion on outputting it as a printed picture. The method comprises steps of measuring the outputted print picture, calculating a prescribed picture feature value concerning the measured outputted print picture data and the inputted picture data and calculating the positional relation and the positional deviation of the corresponding pixel of the measured outputted print picture data and the inputted picture data on the basis of the picture feature value to deduce a distortion correcting expression. |
