PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic focusing method of camera in a high ambient light condition and a low ambient light condition. SOLUTION: The automatic focusing method for an object image to be picked up, is provided with the following steps, that is a series of images transmitted through a main lens system 22 which is provides with one stationary lens member 24 and at least one movable lens member 26 is temporarily stored, the most focused image is decided out of the series of temporarily stored images, then, at least one movable lens member 26 is moved to the decided focused position. |
