摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To let adhesion and a discharge characteristic of discharge electrodes coexist, which are formed in a plasma address display device. SOLUTION: The plasma address display device has a flat panel structure in which a plasma cell 2 with row-like arranged discharge channels 12 and a display cell 1 with a liquid crystal 7 being in contact therewith are bonded to each other. The plasma cell 2 comprises a substrate 8 bonded to the side of the display cell 1 via a prescribed gap, discharge electrodes 9 formed on the substrate 8 along the boundary of the adjoining discharge channels 12, and bulkheads 10 formed on the discharge electrodes 9 so as to partition the adjoining discharge channels 12 from each other. The discharge electrode 9 consists of a piece of inner electrode 9I and two pieces of external electrodes 9O arranged on both sides of the inner electrode and connected therewith. The inner electrode 9I is made of a baked film of a conductive paste material lower in resistance than the external electrodes 9O, and is positioned under the partition 10 to fix it to the substrate 8. The external electrodes 9O are positioned at the side of the partition 10 and make the discharge channels 12 generate plasma discharge.
