PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an overhang door device push-openable and quietly closable by relatively small force even when an overhang door is heavy in a semiautomatic overhang door device being suspended by a slightly inclined upper rail and capable of automatically closing a push-opened overhang door. SOLUTION: This overhang door device is provided with a fluid friction brake device 12 and an initial opening force assisting device 11, and when closing an overhang door 6, a pinion 5 of the fluid friction brake device 12 meshes with a rack 9 so that a brake acts, and when opening the overhang door, energy stored in a spiral spring 2 of the initial opening force assisting device 11 is discharged as resiliency.
