PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drowning accident monitoring device, with which the drowning accidents of plural swimmers can be easily monitored without providing any facility on the side of environment. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a drowning sensor 2 to be worn by a person 1 to be monitored and a supervisory terminal 4 to be used for a supervisor 3 at least one each, the drowning sensor 2 is provided with a sinking detecting means 10 capable of detecting the sinking state of a human body part at a wearing position, the sinking detecting means 10 can be mounted on the head of the human body at least and when the sinking detecting state of the sinking detecting means 10 is continued for prescribed time, either the transmission of a radio signal or generation of an alarm is performed at least for reporting the drowning state of a wearing person 1 to the supervisor 3 automatically or on the basis of a generation request from the outside.
