PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate manufacture and to surely align a focal length to a working distance in a method for manufacturing a floating slider type optical head device. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the floating slider type optical head device fixed with objective double lenses consisting of a near lens 2 and a far lens 3 to a slider body 1 includes a stage for casting parallel laser beams 5 passing the inside of a far lens handling device 4 from a far lens 3 side attracted and held by the far lens handling device 4 toward the near lens 2 previously fixed to the slider body 1 and moving the far lens 3 to a focusing position in a desired position where the output light from the near lens 2 focuses.
