PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clearly distinguish the boundary of a display object and to obtain a clear image while displaying the image. SOLUTION: In a display device which displays an image by a point successive or a line successive scanning, the boundary of the image is automatically recognized and correction is made for the signals of the vicinity of the boundary or the region between the boundary and other boundary so as to obtain a clear display.
