PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that it is necessary to change the direction of a dial gauge every time when cutting edge positions of two rectangular directions of a cutting tool are measured, the work is troublesome and further fixing error may be generated. SOLUTION: A bearing 10 is internally installed between a front cover 7 and a rear cover 9 which constitute the external appearance of a dial gauge holder. An inner ring 12 and an outer ring 11 of the bearing 10 are clamped with the covers 7 and 9 and supported in such a manner that the rings can swirl mutually. The dial gauge holder is equipped with a dividing means for regulating the swirling range.
