PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an immunoassay method, a specimen and a kit for immunoassay whereby a substance to be detected in a solution to be detected can be simply and quickly detected, and the substance can be detected even when the substance of a high concentration is included in the solution to be detected. SOLUTION: The specimen at least contains a stationary phase obtained by immobilizing a specific bonding substance which can bond to the substance to be detected onto a water absorptive base. A coloring particle labelled immune body in which a substance with a substantially equivalent antigen determinant to an antigen determinant of the substance to be detected is bound to a coloring particle as a carrier and the solution to be detected which contains the substance to be detected are developed to the specimen. Thereafter, a signal of the coloring particle labelled immune body passing the stationary phase without being trapped by the stationary phase is measured. The specimen for immunoassay includes the stationary phase in which the specific bonding substance which bonds to the substance to be detected is immobilized on the water absorptive base, and a trapping layer having one selected from a group of avidin, biotin, antigens and antibodies immobilized to the downstream side of the stationary phase.
