PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data extracting circuit that can realize extraction of data with quicker response and higher accuracy than that of a conventional data extracting circuit. SOLUTION: A clock transfer section 10 propagates a received clock signal CLK via each unit delay element 11. An edge detection section 20 detects the position of an edge of the clock signal CLK in the clock transfer section 10 in timing of an edge of a received data signal DATA. A clock selection section 30 selects one of the outputs of unit delay elements 11 of the clock transfer section 10, in response to an edge detection section SEDG denoting the result of detection and gives the selected output as the clock input of a latch 50.
