PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire damage amount calculating method by which objects of insurance present in an area suffered from a fire is automatically extracted damaged once the range becomes clear and an estimated amount of damage is immediately calculated, a recording medium with a program actualizing the method recorded thereon, and a fire damage amount calculating device. SOLUTION: The positions of objects of insurance are previously registered so that they can be specified on a screen 16 and when the damage of a fire needs to be calculated, a user is able to specify an area suffered from the fire on the screen; one the area is specified, the values of objects in the area are immediately read out and totalized to calculate the total amount of damage.
