PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide communication equipment capable of turning on illumination during data communication in a dark place, during confirmation of received data contents and during input of user data, while suppressing useless power consumption. SOLUTION: A controlling part 9 puts out an illuminating part 7 when a device main body is in the middle of waiting or voice communication, turns on the part 7 when the device main body is in the middle of data communication, confirmation of received data contents or user's operation (information input), and turns on the part 7 for a fixed period after inputting when the device main body is being operated by user (other than information input). |
