PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image device of an inline system which prevents the degradation in image quality and suppresses the upsizing of the device even if the capacity of developer housing sections including the developers of specific colors which are large in consumption are made larger than that of the other colors. SOLUTION: Image forming station 9a to 9d of respective colors of an inline color printer 100 have photoreceptors 1a to 1d, electrostatic chargers 2a to 2d, developing devices 4a to 4d, cleaning devices 5a to 5d, etc. The respective image forming station 9a to 9d are successively disposed on a transfer belt 6, i.e., on a transporting route for recording paper (transfer member) P. The image forming station 9d of the black (Bk) which is large in the amount of the developers included therein with respect to the other colors is disposed on the upstream stream side in the transporting direction of a transfer belt 6, i.e., on the end side of the transporting route and the capacity (the width of the developer housing section) is made larger toward its end side. |
