EQUIPMENT FOR COOLING BATTERY OF ELECTRIC AUTOMOBILE AND METHOD THEREFOR

PURPOSE: An equipment for cooling battery of electric automobile is provided to solve irregular capacity caused by temperature dependence of main battery as a principle power source of electric mobiles by utilizing a device for driving cooling fan according to the determination of temperature inside a tray containing battery cells. CONSTITUTION: The battery cooling equipment comprises a control device (100); a cooling fan (110) driven by signals from the control device; an air inlet (120) to flow atmospheric pressure into the equipment; a tray (130) divided into upper and lower parts and having a passage at the middle of the tray and two opposite top and bottom openings; a plurality of battery cells (140) within the tray (130); several temperature sensors (S1-S4) along to longitudinal direction of the tray; a case (150) enclosing the tray; and an air outlet (160) to exhaust atmospheric pressure at the exit side of the case.
