PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure sensitive sensor and a method of manufacturing the sensor, capable of reducing the cost for manufacturing and assembling. SOLUTION: A main pressure sensitive sensor 10 is composed of a first electrode 16 formed by a shell part 18 which is flat before assembled, and a conductive part 24, and a cylindrical second electrode 34 fixed to a holding part 56 of a holding member 52, and assembled by curving the shell part 18 to cover the second electrode 34, and fitting engagement projections 72, 74 into engagement recessed parts 68, 70. This method can dispense with special tool and jig to be abandoned after the assembling work, which remarkably reduces the cost for the assembling. On the other hand, relative to the assembling of the main pressure sensor 10, the main pressure sensitive sensor 10 can be assembled only by press fitting the holding member 52 into a mounting groove formed on a weather strip, which also reduces the cost.
