PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the starting characteristics of an external part variable capacity type compressor for an air-conditioning device for a vehicle. SOLUTION: In case an A/C switch SW is decided to be first-ON by an A/C switch first ON deciding part 29, when target current value data DC based on which capacity of a compressor 7 is adjusted according to a current heat load by a comparing deciding part 28 is lower than current value data DD during starting which forms compressor capacity to rapidly stop operation of a refrigerant circulation suspending means during starting, the current value data DD during starting is selected by an output selecting part 26 only during a given time beginning with a time after starting, capacity is controlled according to the current value data DD during starting. This constitution lowers a pressure in a crank chamber 108 after starting, rapidly stops operation of the refrigerant circulation suspending means, and improves the starting characteristics of a compressor 7.
