MEVICE AND METHOD FOR OPTIMIZING, CHARACTERIZING AND ADJUSTING WIRELESS NETWORK

PURPOSE: A device and a method for optimizing, characterizing and adjust a wireless network is provided to characterize, adjust and optimize the entire performance of a wireless communication network. CONSTITUTION: To characterize the entire network performance, a two-dimensional capacity/coverage diagram is used. The diagram consists of plotting of vectors which denote the entire network performance. Each of them has a network capacity component and a network coverage component in order to cope with various network configurations. This diagram permits comparison of various network configurations visually and efficiently from the standpoint of the entire network performance. In addition, the diagram allows users to visually understand the trade-off between the attributes of two competitive network performances such as the network capacity and coverage.
