<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic mail system that detects an overall fault state and reasons of fault in the entire electronic mail system, when a user cannot use an electronic mail so as to discriminate an optimum measure and inform the user about it. SOLUTION: The electronic mail system, where a user uses a mail client 20 to access a mail server 10 for the use of an electronic mail, is provided with a system state monitor means 30 that monitors the state of the mail server 10 and a state of network communication, so as to acquire information about the fault state and reasons of fault, on the occurrence of the fault and with a system state notice means 40 that informs the user about the fault information. The system state monitor means 30 is provided with a means, that refers to a system state table 31 that is a table in which an optimum message is set and recorded for the use of information of faults to the user corresponding to the kinds and states of various faults, and the system state notice means 40 is provided with a means that is used to inquire of the system state monitor means 30, regarding the fault occurrence information of other clients than the mail client 20.</p> |
