PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article receiving/discharging apparatus for use in a multi-story storehouse with inexpensiveness, so that a plurality of pallets may have a common lift without having respective lifts. SOLUTION: A lifting platform 14 is provided with rails 16 capable of carrying pallets P for loading articles, while on the uppermost story of multi-story storing spaces having a plurality of respective lines, rows and stages, a wire winder 12 is disposed to be laterally movable. The lifting platform 14 is suspended by wires 13 in any one of the multi-story storing spaces. At least one of three kinds of transferring devices, which allows the lifting platform 14 to receive/discharge the pallets P, is disposed on respective stories excepting the uppermost story.
