PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set a run performance suitable for an expressway by properly detecting an entrance and exit of the expressway. SOLUTION: In this control unit for vehicles, the control of a drive system from the source of propulsion to the wheels can be changed into an least 2 modes that are different each other: a control for the expressway, in which a propulsion performance is different from the other; and other control for the roads other than the expressway. The control unit is composed of: a receiving means, which receives a signal output at the entrance or the exit of the expressway or the places close to it; and a control change means (step S5, 9), in which the control of the drive system is changed between the control for the expressway and the one for the other roads, when the receiving means received the signal. |
