PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the operation of a DB server from a client computer only by packaging a communication driver for providing a TCP-TP and to construct an effective sales managing system such as POS while utilizing this operation. SOLUTION: In a client/server system, on which a DB server 4 (5) and a plurality of clients 1 (2 and 3) sharing this DB server 4 (5) are connected through a network line 6, each time data are collected by the clients, a packet generating means 223 for each client generates a packet command according to a DB command transmitting protocol, which does not depend on the network line, and the packet command is executed by being converted to a desired DB operating instruction by a packet converting means 423 of the DB server, which receives the packet command. Thus, the system responds to a request from the client in real time while reflecting the contents of the command on a DB. |
