PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generation system which can generate power in a wide flow range, by enabling cut in flow velocity to be lowered, and also enabling cut out flow velocity to be raised. SOLUTION: A power generation system includes a plurality of generators 105, 106, and 107. Clutches 108 and 109 for coupling the, rotary shafts of the generators in series or cutting them off are arranged between the plurality of generators. The clutch cuts off the generator 105 at the first stage and the generator 106 at the second stage from each other when the load applied to the generator 105 at the first stage is small, and couples the rotary shaft of the generator 105 on the first stage and the rotary shafts 106 and 107 on and after the second stage when the load applied to the generator 105 on the first stage is large. |
