PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power controller and a power controlling method which make it possible to evade increase of the size and cost of a power device, maintaining the redundancy of the power device to be obtained when all hard disks of a disk array device are in a standing-by state and in an operating W/R state. SOLUTION: A disk array device composed of a plurality of hard disks 11-15 and provided with a plurality of power devices 16, 17 is fitted with a power controlling element 18 which adds currents supplied from individual power devices 16, 17, and performs control so as to supply power corresponding to the individual state of each hard disk 11-15 to the hard disk 11-15. |
