PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive or negative original plate for a lithographic printing which has a highly hydrophilic layer and excellent bonding force with a supporting body, which is especially improved in the scumming properties in printing, which produces a printed material having no scumming even under severe printing conditions, and moreover, which can be scanned and exposed for an image with laser light or the like in a short period, and which can be made into a plate by an easy development process with water or by directly mounting on a printing machine without requiring the developing process. SOLUTION: The plate has a hydrophilic layer which is directly and chemically bonded with the surface of a supporting body and which consists of a polymer compound having hydrophilic functional groups and a sensitive layer containing a polymer compound having functional groups whose hydrophilicity is changed by heat, acids or radiation, successively formed on a supporting body. |
