<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem, associated with gas-insulated electrical machinery and apparatus provided with a conventional gas sensor, that the output level is lowered due to aging of a gas sensor and a gas sensor installed for an extended period of time can overlook any anomaly occurring in a gas section. SOLUTION: Mean value and standard deviation are periodically calculated from the outputs of gas sensors 6a, 6b, 6c, and 6d respectively installed in a plurality of gas sections 1a, 1b, 1c, and 1d filled with insulating gas for insulating a housed central conductor 4, using a signal processor 16. Criteria for acceptance/rejection are established based thereon, and the outputs of the gas sensors 6a, 6b, 6c, and 6d are judged against the periodically established criteria for acceptance/rejection. As a result, any anomaly in the gas section 1a, 1b, 1c, and 1d is detected with the influences of aging of the gas sensors eliminated.</p> |
