<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for AC-3 sudio expansion, with which the power consumption of hardware can be reduced by reducing the number of times of operation on IMDCT. SOLUTION: The IMDCT applies one IMDCT output containing at least one block of samples processed within a time domain. Concerning this method, a spectrum coefficient is converted inside the block, the block of frequency domain processing complex samples is generated, and the block of frequency domain processing complex samples is processed into block of samples processed within the time domain. Concerning the transformation of the spectrum coefficient to frequency domain processing complex samples, the spectrum coefficient is re-sorted S12 to the even/odd-numbered data sequence of the spectrum coefficient and the even/odd-numbered data sequence is continuously re-sorted S14 until just two spectrum coefficients are respectively included. Concerning butterfly calculation, at least one complex multiplication and addition are executed S24 and the number of times of complex multiplication is limited by two factors.</p> |
