PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-speed and highly reliable pull-in control by making a lens moving area to the absolute minimum at a sweep action and reducing arrival time at a pull-in position, in consideration of relative positional errors between a disk recording surface and an objective lens, or lens displacement and disk wobbling due to outside vibration. SOLUTION: The device is composed of an objective lens, focus actuator, disk rotation control means, focus error signal detecting means, feedback control means, pull-in control means, switching means, actuator driving means, memory means, posture detecting means, and lens displacement detecting means.
