PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor, a method for processing image and a vehicle monitoring system, with which the detection of traffic abnormality can be improved. SOLUTION: This system is provided with plural monitor cameras 2 located along a road 10 to be monitored for photographing a vehicle traveling on the road, and image processor 5 for imputing respective video signals photographed by the monitor cameras 2, A/D converting the respective video signals to digital images, correcting the digital image so that the road 10 can be turned in the longitudinal or lateral direction of the digital images, and composting the corrected images so as to continue the respective roads 10 photographed in these corrected digital images, and monitor 61 for displaying an image processed by the image processor 5.
