PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a statistical information extracting device for sorting data, with which statistical information required for sorting unknown non-text data is actively extracted from existent multimedia data without using existent keyword data at all. SOLUTION: A statistical processing part 105 for generating statistical data 4 statistically calculates the correlation of text data and non-text data on the basis of layout information extracted from compound data, which are searched by a data search part 101, from an external data base 3 through a network 2 by a data analytic part 102, a keyword extracted from the text data by a keyword extracting part 103 and feature data extracted from the non-text data by a feature extracting part 104.
