PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a picture processing system for converting consecutive gradation pictures to a display picture for printing by reducing artifact within a printing picture, and a printer for printing the display picture. SOLUTION: A difference between the color value of a pixel and the color value of an output state are obtained as an error value (step 24) and the weight of the fraction part of the obtained error value is obtained (step 26). The weight of the fraction part is selected based on the color value of the pixel which is encoded electronically to be processed and is selected based on the position of the pixel in plural pixels expressing the consecutive gradation pictures. The weight of the fraction part is selected so that the total of them may become 1. After then, the color value of each pixel of a selected group consisting of next plural pixels is corrected by adding one of the weights of the fraction part to the color value of the pixel.
