METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING AUSTENITIC STAINLESS STEEL HAVING SUPERIOR SURFACE QUALITY

PURPOSE: Provided is a method for manufacturing austenitic stainless steel having superior surface quality by restraining surface crack during the hot rough rolling process. CONSTITUTION: In a manufacturing method of austenitic stainless steel where an austenitic stainless steel is reheated to 1100-1300deg.C after continuous casting, and then carrying out rough rolling, finish rolling, a shot blasting device of which a pair of impeller rotating on the upper and bottom surfaces of hot slab discharged from reheating furnace shot-blasts iron powder on the upper and bottom surfaces of the steel slab in the condition of shot blasting ratio over 950kg/min and impeller rotation rate over 1500rpm and then rough rolling and finish rolling are carried out to obtain the austenitic stainless steel having superior surface quality.
