PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To expand the use range of an option signal (SUB or SEP command) by providing a meaning except for a box number to the option signal or putting a value showing plural functions to the option signal so as to expand the function of the command. SOLUTION: The facsimile communication equipment 100 manages information regulating relations between some function in the FIF of the SUB command and the digit area of the FIF. Then, information set by the SUB command received from an opposite party is compared with the managed information to interpret the function instructed by the set information to perform prescribed functions.
