PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm the execution result of a function which is indicated by an option signal that is added to the ITU-T recommendation with a standard procedure. SOLUTION: A function box set-up station 120 which applies this facsimile communication device specifies a function box corresponding to the code information (F code) that is set to an option signal sent from an indicating station 110 and execute the relay broadcast communication that is defined there. When the relay broadcast communication is executed, this execution result is stored as an execution result report 123 in relation to the F code. When a result confirmation request followed by the F code is inputted, the report 123 corresponding to the F code is retrieved and notified via the display or print-out. When a polling request followed by the F code is given from the station 110, the report 123 corresponding to the F code is retrieved and transmitted to the station 110.
