PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a programmable logic controller(PLC) capable of changing a user program in operating the PLC by utilizing a detachable memory. SOLUTION: The PLC 101 is provided with a user program memory 6A, a system program memory 7, a central processing part 10 capable of successively executing operation in accordance with the user program stored in the memory 6A and changing the contents of the user program during the execution of the operation, and a job memory 6B storing a changing user program and allowed to be used for changing the user program during the execution of the operation and the memory 6B can be attached/detached independently of the execution/stop of the operation.
