PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize such a semiconductor device that can operate without failure even if the semiconductor device is mounted to a circuit board in an incorrect direction. SOLUTION: An input voltage generating/external output voltage generating circuit 5 is provided in a semiconductor device, and a voltage of pads 3A-0 and 3B-0 corresponding to power supply pin terminals 2A-0 and 2B-0 is detected, and then the insertion direction of the semiconductor device is specified according to the detected result and a correct voltage is given to a chip inside circuit 6. In addition, one of a plurality of pin terminals at a rotation-symmetrical or line-symmetrical position is selected in accordance with the specified direction and it is connected with the chip inside circuit. |
