PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving license reader which can read and print entry data without paying attention to the two new and old sizes of driving licenses. SOLUTION: This driving license reader is equipped with a scanner part 11 which reads out images of driving licenses of the new and old different sizes, a size sensor 15 which is provided to a front scanner part and outputs a detection signal when one of the new and old driving licenses passes by it, a cutting means 22 which cuts data read by the scanner part 11 according to the license size detected by the size sensor 15, a recognizing means 22 which recognizes the data cut by the cutting means, and a print part 24 which prints the data recognized by the recognizing means 22.
