PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To laterally open and close a sheet installed inside a frame, to reduce an installing space similarly to a longitudinally opening-closing type door, to open a door in a single operation as one is on a wheelchair, and to automatically open and close the door in a motor-driven structure. SOLUTION: Rotary shafts 2A, 2B are respectively rotatably erected on the left and right both sides of a door frame 1; pulleys 3A, 3B are respectively installed in an upper part and a lower part of these shafts 2A, 2B; the left and right pulleys 3A, 3B are connected by rotary belts 4, 4; a spiral spring 5 is installed on one shaft 2A; torque is always imparted in the return direction; winding cylinders 20A, 20B are rotatably installed outside the rotary shafts 2A, 2B via a coil spring 19; sheets 23A, 23B are wound here; the upper and lower tips of the sheets are connected to the rotary belts 4, 4; and a lock mechanism 14 is arranged on the other shaft 2B.
